Privacy policy

ReadMoz is an independent community reading initiative. Technical development and Google Play publishing are supported by Mozambique Oasis, Lda. ReadMoz is not an official publication of any community institution.

Information we use

When you join with the community code, we store the display name you choose and a private device identifier. If you choose email sign-in, we also receive the name and email address connected to that sign-in. We store information you add, such as books, reading progress, reviews, comments, recommendations, short quotations, projects and loan records. A book-cover photograph is uploaded only when you choose to add one.

How information is shared

Your display name and community contributions can be seen by other ReadMoz readers. Personal shelf choices and reading progress may appear in community reading views. Lending records are visible only to the lender and borrower. Reports are private and used for community moderation.

Why we use it

We use this information to run reading libraries, progress tracking, group projects, recommendations, reviews and private lending. We do not sell personal information and ReadMoz does not show advertising.

Services and retention

ReadMoz uses hosting and storage services needed to operate the site and app. Book searches and cover images may use public book-data services. We keep community activity while your profile is active. When you delete your profile, its linked personal activity is removed. Shared book-catalogue details may remain without your identity so other readers do not lose the book record.

Your choices

You can hide another reader’s contributions on your device, report content for review, or delete your ReadMoz profile and linked data. You can also ask for help by emailing huddaanil@gmail.com.

Children and families

Families may read together, but a parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use of ReadMoz and should avoid sharing a child’s full name or other identifying details.
